Girls Golf Rocks

Girls Golf Rocks is back for 2023
What is Girls Golf Rocks all about?
Girls Golf Rocks encourages beginner girls aged 5-18 to learn and play golf in a fun and friendly way.
The programme runs nationally across England and we are looking forward to supporting a maximum of 200 clubs/facilities during the 2023 season.
We are looking to recruit clubs who aim to create an environment where girls feel comfortable and confident to join in the initial coaching course and then offer a clear pathway for them to continue their participation. Sound like your club? Apply today!
Format of the programme
Taster sessions are optional for clubs and free for participants, usually lasting an hour. These sessions are a great way of participants trying golf before signing up to the six-week coaching course.
The coaching course involves six, hour-long sessions spread over consecutive weeks with the last lesson out on the course. Sessions are designed to be:
-
FUN!
-
Involve team/group pursuits
-
Include a variety of golf-related activities
-
Allow for social time either at the beginning or end (or both)
It is expected that all clubs deliver two coaching blocks during the delivery period.
Wherever possible we also look for clubs to appoint a couple of Girls Golf Rocks ambassadors. These females need to be aged 14 and over, and their role is to support the new participants during their girls-only group sessions. We provide them with training as well as some goodies too!
What's new for 2023?
The delivery window will now be from May to July. All coaching must conclude by end of July when the programme will close.
The price for participants will be increasing from £35 to £40. Participants will still be in receipt of Girls Golf Rocks branded polo shirt, water bottle and goodie bag.
Coach contribution has been increased too!
