Puckrup Hall GC receive new life saving equipment

GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S Puckrup Hall Golf Club has received their external Defibrillator using the Clare Lipscombe Campaign funding.  The Club made their decision based on the ageing population of their membership and the rural location of their club.  The process prompted a lot of discussion around protocols and provision and the club now has this in place with First Aiders located around the Golf Club and Hotel and an action plan should the need arise.

Chairman, Barry Jenkins leading on the project said the service from Holly at Arrhythmia Alliance was very efficient from the time of confirmation to receipt of equipment.  We have contacted all the local residents advising the equipment is in place should the need arise. He said ‘we hope that this will be a complete waste of money in that it will never need to be used!’

The Club are now campaigning to raise funds for a ‘Bleed Kit’ to complete their equipment bank.
