County Academy v County Under 14 Boys

A windy day at Knowle Golf Club was the first Academy match of the season against the Under 14's. A better ball format from the Yellow Tees with shots being given everywhere all the matches were tight all the way round. The final results was a 3.5 - 2.5 win to the County Academy.

The Junior County Academy Program for 2020 is up and running
with 12 squads (57 Boys/36 Girls) the highest take up we have ever had.


Recently 71 squad members attended Forest Hills
for a Jamboree and meet the coach.


It was an opportunity for the squads to get together and have some fun, games and playing experience.


As well as Academy kit for the new intake; spot prizes were given not only for play but for friendliness and caring for others.

Everyone had a great time and the
place was heaving!


At the time of writing this report we are in the midst of COVID-19 lockdown which is curtailing all events across Gloucestershire as well as other Counties. We hope to be up and running shortly but in the meantime have launched Coach Now for our squads so they can interact with their coaches.


When we do start up again the coaching will start in earnest and new for this year we are

piggy backing off the Girls Stableford events and offering the same to the boys
with handicaps of 36 plus and also the non-handicap players so that they can
get their cards marked.
